DESCRIPTION:Join us for the monthly meeting of the Ohio West Safety Council\, sponsored by Eastman & Smith\, Ltd. The Ohio West Safety Council is facilitated by the Van Wert Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation to provide safety training for our region. \n\nMary Miller from Mercy Health serves as the Community Education Coordinator for Behavioral Health at Mercy Health St. Rita's\, where she leads education and outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness and access. A Licensed Social Worker\, she earned her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2018 and has completed National CASA Training of Facilitators. She has presented nationally at US Aging and On Aging on misconceptions of behavioral health and the importance of wrap-around services for older adults who have been victims of crime. Mary is passionate about breaking stigma\, strengthening community partnerships\, and advancing behavioral health education.
